Life Experience of Panda Ya Yun
Birth and Growth: Ya Yun was born under the careful attention of her mother, weighing 155 grams at birth and exhibiting good health. She inherited many of her mother Ya Ya’s positive traits, particularly her strong maternal instincts.
Relocations: On June 17, 2013, Ya Yun, along with another panda named Er Xi (二喜), was transferred to Changsha Ecological Zoo, where she began a new phase of her life. There, she displayed a calm and quiet personality. After several years in Changsha, Ya Yun returned to the Chengdu Research Base on May 25, 2017.
Twin Cubs: On June 5, 2018, at 8:20 AM, Ya Yun successfully gave birth to a pair of panda twins, marking her first successful breeding. The larger cub, a female named Yun Wen (韵文), weighed 135.3 grams at birth, while the smaller cub, a male named Yun Wu (韵武), weighed 148.8 grams.
Second Litter: In 2023, Ya Yun successfully gave birth again, welcoming a cub named Xing Yun (星云).
