Life Experience of Panda Yun Wen

Birth: As the first panda twins born at the Chengdu Panda Base in 2018, Yun Wen and her brother Yun Wu immediately attracted widespread attention because of their grey fur. It seems that their mother ran short of ink during delivery.

Nickname Origin: When Yun Wen was little, her ears were pointy, resembling those of a kitten, which earned her the nickname “Wen Meow” from her fans. Whenever she hears compliments from keepers or visitors, her ears instantly perk up – just like a kitten’s.

Growth: As she matured, Yun Wen’s personality shifted towards a gentle elegance. Now a fully grown adult, she has become a symbol of beauty and calmness among the resident pandas.

Current Life: Yun Wen lives in Villa No. 1 at the Chengdu Panda Base, where she is neighbors with other playful young pandas, including “Hot Dry Noodles (热干面)” and “Egg Pancake (蛋烘糕).”
