Basic Information

Intriguing Details of Panda Cheng Ji

Physical Characteristics: Ji Li is a strikingly beautiful giant panda, inheriting the excellent genes of her family. She has a round face, prominent black eye circles, and lively eyes. Her medium-sized body and shiny fur give her a healthy and vibrant appearance. Observers have noted that Ji Li bears some resemblance to another well-known panda, Ai Bao (爱宝), though subtle differences in their black eye circles and facial features distinguish them.

Apple Lover: Ji Li has a special fondness for apples and is often seen hugging one and munching on it with great enjoyment.

Opening the Door to Greet the Caregiver: On one occasion, Ji Li was standing next to an iron fence, behind which her caregiver had prepared milk and other food for her. It seemed that Ji Li knew the caregiver was about to arrive to feed her, so she made an unexpected move – using her front paws to push the door through the gaps in the fence. Since the door wasn’t fully locked and Ji Li’s strength was enough to create a small opening, she successfully pushed the door ajar and peeked inside. This surprising action left the caregiver momentarily stunned and became a topic of amusement for everyone.

Maternal Instincts: After giving birth, Ji Li displayed strong maternal instincts. Whether it was her first time or subsequent births, she quickly cradled her cubs in her arms to soothe them. Although her movements were a bit awkward, the tenderness she naturally expressed was unmistakable. On one occasion, she was playing with her adopted son, Bei Xia (北侠), and her biological son, Ji Ran (绩然). The two cubs climbed onto Ji Li, pinned her to the ground, and even nibbled on her ear. However, Ji Li didn’t scold them; instead, she allowed them to play on her without any interference.
