Birth: Nian Nian was born on July 31, 2018, at the Wolong Shenshuping Base of the China Giant Panda Protection and Research Center.
Move to Yangzhou: As she grew, Nian Nian was relocated to the Panda Pavilion at the Yangzhou World Horticultural Expo on April 2, 2021, to begin her new life. Quickly adapting to her new surroundings, she formed friendly bonds with other pandas.
Life in Yangzhou: During the expo, she joined a charming group of pandas, including Qing Qing (晴晴), Chun Qiao (春俏), Pang Niu (胖妞), Jiu Jiu (玖玖), and Xiang Zhu (香竹), collectively known as the “Panda Supergroup.” This delightful ensemble captivated numerous visitors, showcasing their playful and affectionate nature.
