Life Experience of Panda Rong Rong
Birth: Rong Rong was born at the Qinling Giant Panda Research Center on July 27, 2022. His father is the notable brown panda, Qi Zai.
Adoption: On October 29, 2023, during the Qinling Giant Panda Adoption Ceremony at the Qinling Four Treasures Science Park, Rong Rong was officially adopted by the Peihua Group and given the new name “Rong Rong.” This company not only donates money, but also send toys to Rong Rong every now and then.
Friendship: Rong Rong and Bang Zai (浜崽) are frequent playmates. However, despite being young, Bang Zai has quite a temper and often sulks. Rong Rong, on the other hand, is carefree and always annoys Bang Zai without even realizing it. As a result, it’s common to see Bang Zai sitting off to the side, sulking and ignoring the keepers’ calls, while Rong Rong happily plays nearby, completely unfazed.
Birthday Celebration: By the time he turned two years old on July 27, 2024, he had already become a beloved figure at the center. To celebrate his second birthday, the Qinling Giant Panda Research Center prepared a special birthday cake for him and invited his panda friends to join the festivities.
