Intriguing Details of Panda hai Hai
Smart and Patient: Hai Hai is known for her intelligence and patience. On one occasion, the keeper placed carrots inside a bamboo ball for her to eat. At first, she tried pushing the ball with her nose but noticed the carrots shifted positions along with the ball. She then patiently used her paws to nudge the ball, and before long, the carrots fell out through the holes.
Mischievous: Hai Hai is very lively and energetic, often rolling around on the ground and shaking her head. As a result, she often looks dusty, with various scars on her head from all the rolling – ranging in size and depth. At the age of 2, she even managed a successful “escape” and once shattered an indoor glass pane with a single paw slap.
Hobbies: Hai Hai enjoys being around people, loves interacting, and has a fondness for running. She can also do backflips and aerial yoga, earning her the title of the “social queen” of the park.
Life Experience of Panda Hai Hai
Early Years: Hai Hai spent her early years at the China Giant Panda Protection and Research Center, receiving meticulous care from her keepers.
Adoption: In 2018, she and her twin brother Lao Lao were adopted by the Sichuan Haidilao Catering Co., Ltd., leading to their names being inspired by the restaurant. But this name was criticized by netizens for being too casual.
Move to JIuzhaigou: As she matured, Hai Hai was relocated on October 30, 2019, to the Jiuzhaigou County Jiawu Hai Giant Panda Protection Park, living alongside other giant pandas, including Xin Xin (新新), Tian Tian (天天), and Xiao Li Wu (小礼物).
