After her water broke, she endured over 9 hours of labor to successfully deliver an adorable pair of twin cubs, a brother and sister.
Protective Mother: Though a first-time mom, Can Can displayed strong maternal instincts. She stayed highly alert to every sound around her, keeping her cubs tightly in her arms to shield them from any harm. When keepers attempted to take the cubs from her for artificial feeding, they faced significant challenges. Can Can engaged in a long “battle of wits” with the caregivers.
