Life Experience of Panda Xiao Ni
Early Life: From a young age, Xiao Ni exhibited a lively and playful personality. She loved frolicking with her companions and enjoyed climbing trees and playing in her surroundings.
Relocation: On April 20, 2018, Xiao Ni was temporarily relocated to Cangzhou Zoo, where she spent some time before returning to the Chengdu Research Base, continuing her journey in a familiar environment.
Soft-Hearted Mom: Xiao Ni gave birth to a female cub in 2023, who was later named Ni Hao (妮好). Xiao Ni is an incredibly soft-hearted mother. Even when she’s woken up from her nap by her cub demanding milk, despite feeling overwhelmed, she still gets up to nurse her baby. Afterward, she seems a bit uncomfortable, trying to “shake off” the cub a few times before finally freeing herself. She then happily strolls to the door, her ears perking up with joy. However, within just a couple of minutes, she can’t help but return to check on Xiao Hao, worried that her little one might be hungry.
