Intriguing Details of Panda Xing Hui

Appearance: Xing Hui stands out with his striking appearance, characterized by a broad, hexagonal face. He has a distinctive tuft of fur on his head that varies in visibility, large ears, and a slightly square eye ring. His long mouth, downward-facing nose, and mostly white facial fur complement his charming smile, captureing the hearts of all who see him.

Protector of His Sister: Xing Hui showed his lively and energetic personality from a young age. In the Moon Nursery, where many panda cubs play and wrestle with each other, Xing Hui often stepped up as his sister Xing Fan’s protector. Whenever Xing Fan cried out after being bitten by mischievous playmates, Xing Hui would bravely come to her rescue, helping her deal with the naughty cubs.

Little Temper: Xing Hui has a special love for apples. Knowing this, the keepers often use apples to encourage him to participate in training or play activities. On one occasion, the caretakers lured Xing Hui onto a tree branch with an apple, hoping he would climb down on his own. However, Xing Hui grew impatient and threw a little tantrum, quickly climbing higher up the tree. Seeing this, the caretaker gently grabbed his little foot, soothing him with soft strokes while feeding him the apple. Caught between tasty treats and comforting pats, Xing Hui finally let go of his stubbornness and obediently climbed down from the tree.

Relocation: In January 2019, Xing Hui and his sister Xing Fan relocated from the Chengdu Research Base to the Nantong Forest Wild Animal Park and made their public debut on February 5, marking the beginning of a new chapter in their lives.
