Basic Information

Intriguing Details of Panda Fu Bao

Gentleman: Fu Bao is known for his gentle and calm temperament. His round face and slightly short nose make him a favorite among visitors. His slow, deliberate manner of eating, where he takes small bites and enjoys his food with great composure, has given him a reputation for being a “gentleman” among pandas.

Birthday Celebration On Fu Bao’s birthday, keepers would prepare a special “deluxe ice cake” just for him, which is his absolute favorite. One time, while he was happily enjoying his cake, fans and visitors suddenly started singing the birthday song, catching him completely off guard. However, he quickly resumed eating, seemingly quite satisfied with his birthday party.

Childlike Personality Fu Bao can be very childlike at times. Once, he was happily munching on bamboo in front of visitors when someone casually remarked, “Fu Bao’s eyes are a bit small.” Instantly, he became upset, covered his eyes with his paws, turned around, climbed onto his bamboo lounge chair, and faced away from the crowd, as if saying, “I’m mad now!” It was only after hearing a wave of compliments that he finally turned back around.
