Birth: When Cai Bang was born, she weighed just 75 grams and measured 15.5 centimeters – significantly smaller than average. Due to her small size and low weight, Cai Bang encountered life-threatening issues soon after birth, with slowed breathing and signs of distress. Both Japanese and Chinese panda experts closely collaborated to create a tailored plan to stabilize her. Thanks to their quick and dedicated response, Cai Bang’s condition improved; her cries grew louder and more vigorous, indicating improved strength, and she was soon returned to her mother’s care. Unfortunately, Liang Bang gave birth to a stillborn cub early the next morning, which weighed only 3.4 grams.
Naming and Symbolism: On December 17, 2018, Adventure World announced her name after a public naming contest, which received an impressive 122,421 submissions from visitors and online participants.
