Intriguing Details of Panda Xing An

Appearance: According to Xing An’s keeper, Xing An has ears that are positioned slightly further back, a round little face, tiny bird-like eye rings, seductive little eyelashes, a heart-shaped nose, a smiling mouth, a graceful swan neck, a beautiful back, the most gorgeous little vest, delicate hands, a well-defined waist, long legs, and little pinky nails that look like they’ve been manicured.

Princess with OCD: Xing An is particularly particular about hygiene, with a designated spot for urinating (which is rare among giant pandas). Once she urinates, she won’t go near that spot again. When she gets her food, she has to rub it with her paw before putting it in her mouth. She also loves to show off her food – whenever she gets something delicious, she runs to the glass in the outdoor area to eat in front of the visitors.

Life Experience of Panda Xing An

Birth and Adoption: Xing An was born on August 5, 2013, at the Ya’an Bifengxia Base of the China Giant Panda Protection and Research Center. Soon after, she was adopted for life by Mercedes-Benz, which provided her with stable living conditions and access to quality care.

Settle in Jiangsu: Her journey took a significant turn in September 2016, when she and another panda, Hua Li (华丽), were sent to the Nanshan Bamboo Sea Scenic Area in Liyang, Jiangsu. This new environment offered her a fresh start and the opportunity to engage with a different setting.

On her fourth birthday, August 5, 2017, the staff organized a special celebration for her, delighting visitors and fans alike. In August 2019, she celebrated her sixth birthday, receiving warm wishes from both visitors and staff. Most recently, on August 5, 2023, Xing An and Hua Li celebrated their tenth birthdays with an exciting, lively event that brought happiness to everyone in attendance.
