Intriguing Details of Panda Bing Qing

Appearance: Bing Qing has large, round ears reminiscent of Mickey Mouse, which make her particularly endearing. Additionally, she has a unique patch of white fur on the tip of her right foot, adding to her charm and making her easily recognizable among other pandas.

Joyful Times in the Snow: Bing Qing has a special fondness for snowy days. Whenever it snows, Bing Qing excitedly runs to the outdoor enclosure, rolling and frolicking in the snow. Sometimes, Bing Qing will sit comfortably in the snow, leaning against a large rock, elegantly munching on fresh bamboo leaves flown in from Sichuan, enjoying the peaceful beauty of the snowy day.

Digging Expert: Bing Qing also has a unique hobby – digging holes. She will dig small holes in the ground, as if searching for some hidden treasure. Sometimes, Bing Qing will spend the entire day digging one particularly large hole, even large enough to lie down in. This hobby has earned Bing Qing the title of a “master engineer.”

Life Experience of Panda Bing Qing

Birth: On August 12, 2014, Bing Qing was born at the Walnut Flat Wild Training Base, a facility dedicated to the conservation and rehabilitation of giant pandas.

Move to Dujiangyan: On March 9, 2015, at just over six months old, Bing Qing was relocated to the Dujiangyan Base of the China Giant Panda Protection and Research Center, where she continued her growth journey in a nurturing environment.

Settle in Shenyang: On September 17, 2017, Bing Qing, along with her companions Pu Pu (浦浦), Fa Fa (发发), and Bing Hua (冰华), was transferred to the Shenyang Forest Zoo, beginning a new chapter of her life in Northeast China. Initially, Bing Qing took some time to adapt to her new surroundings, but over time, she grew comfortable with the local climate and lifestyle.
