Intriguing Details of Panda Long Xin
Deep Maternal Love: When Long Xin gave birth, her keepers were with her the entire time, witnessing the birth and growth of her cubs. The keepers have described the scene after Long Xin’s delivery: she didn’t eat or drink, staying up day and night holding her babies. Her selfless maternal love is deeply touching.
Tree-Dismantling Expert: Although Long Xin is now older, she still maintains her lively and adorable personality. When she’s happy, she climbs trees, and not just in a simple manner – she pulls down branches from the trees to use as toys. Because of this behavior, people affectionately call her the “Tree-Dismantling Expert.” Her enclosure is often filled with branches and leaves that she has pulled down, which has become one of her unique trademarks.
Children Around the World: Long Xin’s cubs are now spread across the globe. For example, Fu Wa lives in Malaysia, Fu Ni lives in Australia, and Yuan Xin (also known as Le Bao) resides in South Korea. These cubs not only contribute to panda conservation efforts but also give people around the world the opportunity to get up close and personal with these adorable creatures. You You and Mai Mai are also relatively famous in China – You You is known as the “Little Prince of Yabuli,” while Mai Mai is a gentle, well-mannered young boy. Long Xin also has a very beautiful daughter named Han Yuan, who is raising her cubs at the Shenshuping Base.
