Life Experience of Panda Ya Mei
Move to Baoding: On September 15, 2017, Ya Mei was transferred to the Baoding Aibo Wild Animal World (later renamed Baoding Aibo China Giant Panda Garden), where she was renamed “Xin Xin” (昕昕). On September 25 of the same year, the Baoding Aibo China Giant Panda Garden officially opened to the public, and Ya Mei made her debut alongside three other pandas, receiving a warm welcome from visitors.
Dragon Boat Festival Feast: As the Dragon Boat Festival approached in 2023, the four pandas at the Baoding Aibo China Giant Panda Garden participated in an “eating show,” enjoying a special “Dragon Boat Festival feast” prepared by their caretakers, which included skewers made from carrots and apples, rice dumplings filled with nutritious feed, and fresh bamboo and bamboo shoots.
Eye-Roll Expert: Ya Mei is a well-behaved and beautiful young panda, but she has mastered a unique skill – rolling her eyes. When she feels that the visitors are too noisy or when the keeper complains about her being picky with food, she slightly lifts her head and rolls her eyes, as if expressing her disdain and dissatisfaction.
