Breeding Achievements of Panda Yang Hua
On August 19, 2016, Yang Hua gave birth to her first cub, a daughter named Pan Yue (盼月), lineage number 1040. Since Susan (苏珊) was not very good at caring for cubs, Yang Hua also looked after Jerry, so Jerry spent some time living with Pan Yue when he was young. Pan Yue also had a little friend named Yan Hui (妍慧).
On September 6, 2017, Yang Hua gave birth to a son named Xing Xing (星星), lineage number 1114. When he was young, he was roommates with Yi Chang (怡畅)’s son, Ba Te (巴特), and they fought from morning till night.
On August 3, 2019, Yang Hua gave birth to a son named Bao Quan (宝泉) at the Shen Shuping Base. Bao Quan gained attention in May 2023 when a video circulating online showed a giant panda in Ya’an looking extremely thin, almost skeletal. On the evening of the 22nd, the official Weibo account of the center released a video stating that the panda in question was named Bao Quan, weighing 97 kilograms, and living in the Ya’an Base nursery exhibition area. Due to Ya’an’s frequent rainfall and humid climate, combined with Bao Quan’s love for rolling in the mud, his fur had thinned out a bit. Despite the temporary embarrassment over his appearance, there were no health concerns.
On July 22, 2021, Yang Hua gave birth to a son named Jiao Yang (骄阳) at the Shen Shuping Base. Jiao Yang stayed with his mother until he was one and a half years old. On January 4, 2023, he joined the same group as You You (优悠), who is the daughter of Xiu Qiu (绣球). Jiao Yang is very lively, with a bright and cheerful personality.
