Breeding Achievements of Panda Xiao Ya Tou
August 12, 2012, at 21:33 – At the age of six, Xiao Ya Tou gave birth to her daughter, Xiao Qiao (小乔), also known as “Little Apple Radar.” To match the beauty of this panda cub, the base named her after Xiao Qiao, a famous beauty from the Three Kingdoms period.
July 26, 2015 – Xiao Ya Tou gave birth to twin sons, Xiao Ya (小雅) and Xiao Chuan (小川). Xiao Chuan had a chubby and innocent look, with a slightly bald head, earning him the title of “Little Warrior of Class 2015.” Xiao Ya, in his early days, had a close bond with Meng Lan (萌兰). On May 28, 2020, Xiao Chuan and his older sister Xiao Qiao were sent on a trip to the Yili Eco-Spirit Park in Tianjin Binhai New Area. Later, on September 12, 2020, Xiao Ya, along with Si Yi (思一), Cheng Dui (成对), and Ya Er (雅二), traveled to Quancheng Oulebao Animal Kingdom in Dezhou, Shandong.
July 26, 2017 – Xiao Ya Tou gave birth to her daughter Xiao Xin (小馨). Xiao Xin was the youngest panda of the Class of 2017 and also Yong Yong (勇勇)’s youngest offspring. She had white fur on her heels, a tuft of “silly hair” on her head, big eyes, a “smiling mouth,” and an overall sweet appearance. She had a gentle yet playful personality and, from an early age, followed her mother in becoming a “food blogger” of the panda world.
October 11, 2019, afternoon – Xiao Ya Tou gave birth to twin cubs, a boy and a girl named Shun Shun (顺顺) and Liu Liu (溜溜). They were the latest-born cubs at the base in nearly a decade. Unfortunately, both passed away due to allergic reactions – Liu Liu on May 11, 2020, and Shun Shun on May 20, 2020.
2023 – Xiao Ya Tou gave birth to another pair of twins. The elder cub’s official name remains unknown, while the younger one is named Jiu Jiu (九九).
