Intriguing Details of Panda Xiang Guo
Appearance: Xiang Guo is distinguished by her perfectly round face, large, bright eyes, and a charming, cuddly appearance that closely resembles her mother, Xiang Bing. Her overall look is endearing and irresistibly inviting.
Coal-Digging Expert: Xiang Guo has loved digging since she was young (scratching at the soil everywhere), and she can be considered one of the most coal-obsessed little pandas on the internet. She often rolls around in mud pits, getting herself all dirty, with black marks on either side of her nose. Because of this, some netizens jokingly call her the “messiest giant panda.” Her coal-digging habit even caused her mother, Xiang Bing, to be annoyed with her. One time, Xiang Bing had to press her into the water to bathe her.
Food Lover: Xiang Guo is a true foodie, and every time it’s mealtime, she gets especially excited. She particularly loves pumpkins. On one occasion, she overindulged in pumpkins to the point of becoming too full, lying motionless, causing visitors to worry that she was unwell. However, when the caretakers checked, they found that Xiang Guo had simply eaten too much. Additionally, when she gets her bamboo, she secretly sneaks off to her “secret base” to eat alone. If another panda happens to pass by, Xiang Guo gets very alert and starts showing off her food.
Mischievous: Xiang Guo has a very lively and mischievous personality. She often plays pranks on her companions, such as teasing Chun Sheng (春生). At first, Chun Sheng would not bother to respond, but eventually, Xiang Guo would push him too far, and Chun Sheng would end up giving her a good scolding. Additionally, Xiang Guo likes to rub mud on her mother, Xiang Bing, as if afraid that she won’t be able to share the mud on her body with her mom.
Strong Adaptability: In August 2023, Xiang Guo moved to the Hangzhou Zoo along with Chunsheng. Although the new environment was different, Xiang Guo quickly adapted and won everyone’s affection. On the first day they arrived at the zoo, Xiang Guo and Chun Sheng got stuck at the entrance. Both pandas rushed to go through the door at the same time and ended up blocking each other. Neither would back down, so they ended up living separately.
