Intriguing Details of Panda Xiang Guo

Irresistible Looks: With her perfectly round face, big bright eyes, and irresistibly cuddly appearance, Xiang Guo is the definition of adorable. She’s the spitting image of her mother, Xiang Bing, radiating pure charm that makes everyone want to hug her.

The Messiest Panda: Ever since she was a cub, Xiang Guo has had an unusual passion for digging. Whether it’s scratching at the soil or rolling around in the mud, she’s always on a mission to get as dirty as possible. With black smudges on her face – especially around her nose – she’s earned a reputation as one of the “coal-obsessed” pandas on the internet. Some fans even call her the “messiest giant panda” for her love of dirt.

Mom’s Patience Runs Out: Xiang Guo’s messy adventures haven’t gone unnoticed by her mother, Xiang Bing. Tired of her daughter’s endless coal-digging, Xiang Bing once had enough and pressed her straight into the water for an impromptu bath. But knowing Xiang Guo, it probably wasn’t long before she was back in the dirt again!

A True Foodie: When mealtime comes, Xiang Guo’s excitement is unmatched – especially when pumpkins are on the menu. Once, she indulged so much that she lay completely motionless, worrying visitors who thought she was sick. Turns out, she had simply eaten herself into a food coma! She also has a sneaky side – whenever she gets her bamboo, she scurries off to her “secret base” to enjoy it alone. If another panda happens to wander by, Xiang Guo immediately becomes defensive, proudly flaunting her food as if to say, “Mine, all mine!”

Little Trouble-Maker: Lively and full of mischief, Xiang Guo loves pranking her companions, especially Chun Sheng (春生). At first, he ignores her antics, but when she pushes him too far, he ends up giving her a proper scolding. Her playful streak doesn’t stop there – she also enjoys smearing mud all over her mother, Xiang Bing, as if making sure Mom gets to “share” in her messy fun.

Quick to Adapt: In August 2023, Xiang Guo and Chun Sheng moved to Hangzhou Zoo, where she quickly adjusted and charmed everyone. However, her arrival wasn’t without drama – on the first day, she and Chun Sheng both tried squeezing through the entrance at the same time, stubbornly refusing to let the other pass. In the end, neither backed down, and they ended up living separately.
