With her petite ears, short muzzle, and perfectly round face, Qiao Yue is the definition of adorable. Her soft, sweet demeanor makes her one of the most endearing pandas around. Affectionate and gentle, she has a naturally docile personality – but she’s also a little timid. Sudden loud noises can send her scurrying for a safe hiding spot, her wide eyes filled with cautious curiosity. This delicate and lovable nature has earned her the fitting nickname “Little Girl.”
Life Experience of Panda Qiao Yue
Early Llfe: Qiao Yue was born at the Shenshuping Base of the China Conservation and Research Center for the Giant Panda in Wolong. On December 30, 2023, Qiao Yue, along with three other giant pandas – Qing Hua (青花), Qing Lu (青露), and Ai Lian (爱莲) – arrived at the Chongqing Yongchuan Lehe Ledu Animal Theme Park to begin a new chapter in her life.
Adaptation: On January 1, 2024, Qiao Yue explored the indoor activity area of her new home for the first time. She quickly adapted to her surroundings, engaging in activities like eating, drinking, sleeping, and playing, showcasing her ability to adjust well to her new environment.
Living Environment: Qiao Yue currently resides in the Winter Snow Pavilion, one of the four pavilions in the panda enclosure at Chongqing Yongchuan Lehe Ledu Animal Theme Park.The pavilion includes an indoor activity area and an outdoor exercise yard. The indoor area is equipped with a fully functional air conditioning and ventilation system, ensuring Qiao Yue has a comfortable living environment. The outdoor yard is covered with grass, retains original trees, and is planted with a variety of flowers and shrubs. It also features enrichment facilities such as wooden perches and artificial hills, providing ample opportunities for Qiao Yue to play and explore.
