Intriguing Details of Panda Shun Shun
Little Penguin: One of his favorite activities is “digging coal,” which involves rolling around in the mud or water, often resulting in him being covered in dirt and looking like a tiny, dirty penguin.
Plenty of Toys: In Hainan, Shun Shun has an abundance of toys, ranging from hand-woven yarn dolls to plastic toys, bamboo items, and custom-made pillows. He is affectionately nicknamed “Island Owner” by netizens. However, he often dismantles his toys, leaving the keepers amused yet helpless in the face of his “creations.”
Water Play and Sinking Ships: Shun Shun loves playing in the water and often sits in a pool to splash around. To enhance his enjoyment, the keepers specially prepared a small green boat for him. However, Shun Shun’s weight often causes the boat to “sink,” earning him the playful nickname “Little Prince of Sinking Ships” from netizens.
Local Experiences: While in Hainan, Shun Shun also tried some local activities, such as attempting to peel a coconut by hand. Unfortunately, he was unable to drink the coconut water, despite his efforts.
Emotional Dependence: Shun Shun has a strong emotional attachment to his keepers. On one occasion, after the keeper took a five-day leave, Shun Shun became extremely excited upon seeing them return to work. He was so overjoyed that he froze for a moment before beginning to sob.

Residence Environment: Shun Shun resides in “Panda World,” which is divided into four main functional areas: an outdoor sports exhibition area, an indoor exhibition area, a science education area, and a logistics support service area. The facility spans over 1,000 square meters and includes artificial hills, pools, lawns, and wooden climbing structures, providing Shun Shun with ample space for playing and resting. The indoor exhibition area simulates a natural ecological environment, with backgrounds of tropical rainforests and bamboo forests, complete with wooden rocking chairs and resting platforms to create a comfortable and safe living space for Shun Shun.
