Intriguing Details of Panda Jin Yu
Early Life: Jin Yu is the first child of his mother, Miao Miao, and one of the youngest panda babies born in 2018. His arrival brought renewed energy and excitement to the breeding center.
Mama’s Boy: When Jin Yu was young, he was a typical “mama’s boy,” often following his mother to learn how to bathe and even sitting in her food basket as if it were a cradle. When eating, he would open and close his little mouth in perfect sync with his mother.
Loves to Watch the Action: When there was a fight between Chongyang and Fushuang in the neighboring enclosure, the zookeepers went over one by one to calm them down. Jin Yu immediately climbed to the highest point of the big tree in his own enclosure to see what was going on.
Replacement for Nan Nan: Jin Yu now lives at Chengdu Zoo. Since Nan Nan (囡囡) had to return to the base for treatment of constipation, Jin Yu was brought in as a replacement.
