Intriguing Details of Panda Qin Yun
Faking Illness: Qin Yun often pretends to be disabled to gain sympathy from visitors. She crawls on all fours across the grass, feigning misfortune. However, just when visitors start feeling sorry for her, she suddenly stands up and sprints away.
Self-deception: Once, Qin Yun tried to avoid the rain by staying completely still on a tree, tucking in her neck as if staying motionless would magically keep her dry – a comical act of self-deception.
Playing on a Swing: When Qin Yun first tried playing on a swing, she climbed up with great effort only to realize there was no one to push her. Frustrated, she began kicking and hitting the swing to make it move.
Hide-and-Seek: Qin Yun loves playing hide-and-seek with visitors. She intentionally hides behind trees, waiting for someone to find her. When they do, she reveals a triumphant expression as if saying, “Finally, you found me!”
Jealousy: For a while, Qin Yun lived with Xue Xue (雪雪). Whenever visitors called out Xue Xue’s name, Qin Yun would roll her eyes dramatically, as if demanding attention for herself. This behavior earned her the nickname “Attention Seeker.”
Virtual Community: In December 2023, Qin Yun made history by becoming the first invited panda star to join the virtual community of Taobao Life II. Partnering with Alibaba Public Welfare, she launched the “Panda Protection Program.” This initiative leverages technology and digital innovation to safeguard the giant panda.
