Growth Experience
Since birth, Xian Zi has been relocated between various bases of the China Giant Panda Conservation Research Center to adapt to different living environments and conservation needs.
On July 31, 2007, Xian Zi moved from the Nuozhiping Wild Training Base to the Ya’an Bifengxia Base.
On April 18, 2008, Xian Zi, along with Jing Jing and Mei Ling, was sent to the Nanjing Hongshan Forest Park Zoo in Jiangsu Province for a short-term exhibition.
On March 26, 2009, Xian Zi returned to the Ya’an Bifengxia Base after the exhibition in Nanjing.
On September 1, 2009, Xian Zi arrived at Qingdao Liuting Airport via Sichuan Airlines and was then transferred to the Weihai Rongcheng Xixiaokou Shendiao Mountain Wildlife World (Xixiaokou Wildlife Park), where he has lived for over a decade.
Appearance Features
Xian Zi is adored by many fans for his unique appearance. He has a nearly perfect, round face, with large, round ears, attractive bird-like eye rings, and a heart-shaped nose, making him a striking and handsome male panda.
Personality and Behavior
Xian Zi is known for his calm demeanor and love for sleeping. His primary activity during the day is sleeping, and he waits at the gate for his caretakers to provide food once he wakes up. Due to his penchant for napping, he is affectionately nicknamed the “Sleeping God.”
Despite his tranquil nature, Xian Zi also displays a playful side, enjoying playful antics with his companion Jing Jing and savoring the joys of daily life.
