Early Years: At approximately 3:30 AM (Canadian time) on October 13, 2015, with the collaborative efforts of panda experts and keepers from the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding and Toronto Zoo staff, Er Shun successfully delivered a pair of twins. The male cub weighed 181.7 grams, while the female weighed 115.1 grams, and both mother and cubs exhibited good health.
Moving to Calgary: On March 19, 2018, Jia Pan Pan and Jia Yue Yue relocated to the Calgary Zoo, where they continued to receive professional care and attention.
Return to China and Breeding Program: In January 2020, after turning four years old, Jia Pan Pan and his sister returned to Chengdu, Sichuan, in accordance with a breeding agreement.
