On November 30, Hainan Tropical Wildlife Park and Botanical Garden (referred to as “Haiye”) hosted a celebration for the sixth anniversary of the arrival of the panda brothers Gong Gong and Shun Shun, coinciding with the sixth anniversary of the opening of Haiye Panda World. The park prepared a sumptuous celebratory feast for the pandas and organized various educational activities and interactive games, inviting citizens and tourists to join in the festivities and send their best wishes to the panda brothers on this special occasion.

That morning, panda enthusiasts from all over gathered early to witness the adorable moment as Gong Gong and Shun Shun enjoyed their sixth-anniversary celebration feast. The keepers thoughtfully prepared a special anniversary-themed meal for the pandas, featuring a giant watermelon cake adorned with blooming dragon fruit flowers.
Meanwhile, a joyous carnival featured themed installations titled “Gong He Xiang Yu, Liu Liu Da Shun” (a playful phrase celebrating the pandas’ sixth year). Haiye’s nature education guides teamed up with young lecturers from Dongshan Town Central Primary School to host a tropical panda science station. They provided in-depth explanations about the pandas’ daily diets, living habits, and conservation knowledge, offering visitors a deeper understanding of the current efforts to protect giant pandas.
