On March 21, 2022, just six months after their birth, You You and Jiu Jiu made their much-anticipated public debut during the Madrid Zoo’s 50th anniversary celebration. The twins quickly captured the hearts of countless visitors with their playful antics and endearing personalities.
During their early growth stages, You You and Jiu Jiu received excellent care from the dedicated zoo staff. They thrived and grew healthy, with their weight increasing from approximately 150 grams at birth to around 70 kilograms by their second birthday.
