Birthplace and Early Life: Bing Xing was born on September 1, 2000, at the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding. He arrived alongside his twin brother, Bing Dian (冰点). Their early days were spent in a nurturing environment designed to ensure their health and development.
Domestic Relocations: On January 9, 2002, Bing Xing and another panda named Cheng Ji (成绩) were transferred to Hangzhou Wildlife World. Bing Xing was later moved to Chengdu Zoo on February 12, 2004. After a brief period, he returned to the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding on October 9, 2005.
Journey to Spain: On September 8, 2007, Bing Xing embarked on a new adventure, traveling to Madrid Zoo in Spain aboard a special flight, accompanied by the female panda Hua Zui Ba (花嘴巴).
Life in Spain: During his 16 years in Spain, Bing Xing became a star attraction at the Madrid Zoo, engaging visitors and actively participating in the giant panda breeding program. Bing Xing is known for his honest and gentle demeanor, exuding a friendly and approachable aura. His character shines through in his interactions, especially with Hua Zui Ba, where he sometimes displays a comical innocence, appearing as if he has been playfully bullied.
Back to China: On February 29, 2024, Bing Xing, along with Hua Zuiba and their three cubs – Zhu Li Na (竹莉娜), Jiu Jiu (久久), and You You (友友) – returned to China on a special flight, arriving safely at Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport on March 1. Upon their return, Bing Xing and his family were taken to the quarantine facility at the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding for health checks and to ensure their safety.
