Birth: Born on June 23, 2016, Xing Guang and his twin sister, Xing Chen, captured public attention as the first pair of giant panda twins born globally that year at the Chengdu Research Base.
Multiple Relocations: As Xing Guang matured, he experienced multiple relocations. He spent some time at the Dujiangyan Panda Valley, a habitat designed to provide a natural environment for pandas. Eventually, he returned to the Chengdu Research Base. His adventurous spirit took him to Shanghai Zoo in 2019, where he and another panda, He Feng (和风), participated in a special event to entertain visitors.
Birthday Celebration: On June 23, 2020, Xing Guang celebrated his fourth birthday at Shanghai Zoo, marking his second birthday in the city after relocating from Chengdu. The staff at Shanghai Zoo prepared a special birthday party for him, complete with a zongzi cake and Wowo buns. However, while his friend He Feng was happily enjoying the treats, Xing Guang was still sound asleep, completely missing his own birthday party.
