As Xing Guang matured, he experienced multiple relocations. He spent some time at the Dujiangyan Panda Valley, a habitat designed to provide a natural environment for pandas. Eventually, he returned to the Chengdu Research Base. His adventurous spirit took him to Shanghai Zoo in 2019, where he and another panda, He Feng (和风), participated in a special event to entertain visitors. This visit allowed the people of Shanghai to share in the joy that giant pandas bring.

On June 23, 2020, Xing Guang celebrated his fourth birthday at Shanghai Zoo, marking his second birthday in the city after relocating from Chengdu. This milestone was celebrated with special activities that highlighted his playful and charming nature, delighting both visitors and staff alike.
