Intriguing Details of Panda Xin Bao
Surprise Expression: During his early training, there were many amusing moments that highlighted his character. For instance, when the staff wore panda suits to record his growth, Xin Bao was startled by the oversized costumes, which led to some humorous expressions of surprise. His natural alertness was also on display when he climbed trees to hide from sounds of wild animals.
Independence: Xin Bao often makes his way to the snack window within his enclosure, where he cleverly opens the door to request treats, illustrating his intelligence and self-sufficiency.
Life Experience of Panda Xin Bao
Wild Training: Xin Bao’s early life was marked by unique circumstances. Shortly after his birth, he was selected for a wild training program aimed at preparing him for a life in the wild. However, this plan was tragically cut short on February 26, 2016, when his mother, Xin Ni Er, passed away due to duodenal obstruction. Her untimely death forced Xin Bao to halt his wild training and transition to artificial feeding and care.
Adapt to Captivity: After returning to captive life, Xin Bao initially refused to drink from a bottle, rejected the keeper’s approach, and refused to eat. However, after living with his sibling brother, Hua Bao, he gradually adapted.
Move to Baoding: On September 15, 2017, he, along with his brother Hua Bao and two other pandas, Wen Hui (文惠) and Ya Mei (雅美), was relocated to the Baoding Agricultural Ecological Park, now known as Ai Bao Wild Animal World.
Life in Baoding: Today, Xin Bao enjoys a relaxed lifestyle filled with leisure and sunshine. He loves to roam freely within the park, indulging in the delights of his surroundings.
