Life Experience of Panda Xiao Ya

Growth and Move: Xiao Ya was born and raised at the Shaanxi Rare Wildlife Rescue and Research Center, where she, like other panda cubs, received dedicated care from a professional team. On December 18, 2018, she was relocated to Foping Panda Valley, marking a new chapter in her life.

Rise to Internet Fame: Xiao Ya’s fame skyrocketed online due to her distinctive look – she had two cute, slightly messy “buns” on her head, which endeared her to fans. Her photos and videos were widely shared on social media, making her a cherished internet sensation.

Diagnosis of Uremia: In 2022, Xiao Ya was diagnosed with uremia, a severe kidney disease that is highly dangerous for pandas. Despite receiving specialized treatment, her condition continued to worsen.

Treatment and Death: After her diagnosis, Xiao Ya was given intensive medical care by a team of professionals. Unfortunately, despite their best efforts, her health continued to decline. Xiao Ya passed away from uremia on June 12, 2022, at just seven years old. Her untimely death left her fans and online followers heartbroken.
