Relocations and Public Appearances
In 2023, Jia Bao was relocated from Wolong to the Ya’an Base, marking the next phase of his life. On November 29, 2023, the China Giant Panda Conservation and Research Center shared a video of Jia Bao enjoying bamboo on his second day at Ya’an, delighting panda lovers.
In April 2024, Jia Bao, along with fellow pandas Hongxi (鸿禧), Manlan (曼兰), and Manman (满满), was transferred to Lanzhou Wildlife Zoo. After a 20-day adjustment period, Jia Bao made his public debut on April 25, 2024, where he received a warm and enthusiastic welcome from visitors.
