Both Bai Ji and her brother Dong Qia’s names are transliterations of the Tibetan and Qiang words for “panda,” symbolizing their unique identity as ambassadors for Aba Prefecture.
Independent Life: As Bai Ji and Dong Qia grew older, their territorial instincts became stronger, leading to frequent fights from morning till night. Therefore, in April 2024, the center decided to separate them. Dong Qia was moved to the Dujiangyan Panda Base, while Bai Ji remained at Shenshuping.
