Assistant Curator of the Animal Department, Deng Qiao Xian, stated that “An An” and “Ke Ke” have gradually adjusted to their new surroundings and have shown great curiosity toward enrichment items, such as the puzzle toys provided by the care team. The team monitors their behavior to assess their health and makes adjustments to their diet and enrichment activities accordingly.

Animal Care Officer, Liu Si Ying, described “Ke Ke” as more reserved by nature, but after meeting the public, she has become much bolder and sometimes takes the initiative to approach visitors and “greet” them. On the other hand, “An An” has always been lively and excited when meeting visitors. Currently, both pandas are undergoing blood collection training to help them remain calm and cooperative during actual blood tests in the future.

During the press conference, the care team also shared updates on Hong Kong’s homegrown panda twins, who were born at the park.
