On July 21, giant panda “Youyou” celebrated its 16th birthday, marking its 9th birthday at the Yabuli Panda House. To ensure the little birthday star had an unforgettable celebration, the caretakers meticulously organized a grand party, including a colorful birthday cake, fresh bamboo, and numerous selected gifts. They also prepared a cake and gifts for Youyou’s sister, another giant panda at the Yabuli Panda House named Sijia. Fans were invited to join the celebration and extend their best wishes to the pandas.
On the morning of the 21st, Youyou’s 16th birthday celebration officially began amidst great anticipation. The melodious music played in the background as Youyou circled the venue adorned with red roses several times before directly taking the cake’s age-marked steamed bun and chewing it slowly. After finishing the steamed bun, Youyou quietly sat aside, munching on fresh bamboo shoots and enjoying this special day. Visitors and “panda fans” at the scene were immersed in an atmosphere of joy and blessings.
