According to the China Wildlife Conservation Association, two giant pandas residing at Ueno Zoo in Tokyo, Japan – “Bi Li” (male, born August 2005) and “Xian Nv” (female, born July 2005) – have recently shown symptoms of hypertension and other age-related diseases. Chinese and Japanese experts have maintained communication and conducted joint consultations, administering targeted treatment that has effectively controlled their conditions. Currently, both pandas are exhibiting normal appetite and daily activity levels.

To ensure better care and treatment for the two pandas, both parties have amicably agreed to bring “Bi Li” and “Xian Nv” back to China as early as the end of September this year. Both sides are actively organizing the necessary arrangements for their return.
