Giant Panda “Ge Ge” Turns 21 in Tianjin

Yesterday marked the 21st birthday of the beloved giant panda “Ge Ge.” To celebrate this special occasion, Tianjin Zoo held a birthday party titled “Fortune Comes, Ge Ge Brings Good Luck,” inviting the public to join in the festivities and share in the joy. This year also marks Ge Ge’s sixth year at Tianjin Zoo and her thirteenth year participating in breeding programs.

Over the past thirteen years, Ge Ge has successfully bred four times, giving birth to five daughters and one son: “Miao Yin,” “Hua Li,” “He He,” “Jiu Jiu,” “Jing Bao,” and “Li Dui.” Her contributions to the giant panda breeding program have been significant, helping to promote the conservation of this cherished species.
