On the afternoon of the 17th, the Shenshuping Base of the Wolong China Giant Panda Garden issued a notification stating that four individuals (all over the age of 60) were observed spitting inside the outdoor activity area of the giant pandas while security personnel were not paying attention. As a result, they have been permanently banned from re-entering the Shenshuping Base for visiting.
According to the notification, on July 11th, Ms. Jia (female, 63 years old) spit inside the outdoor activity area while visiting the Shenshuping Base. On July 14th, Ms. Zhang (female, 67 years old) did the same, followed by Mr. Ren (male, 71 years old) on July 15th, and Mr. Shi (male, 64 years old) on July 16th.
The actions of these four individuals violate the rules for visiting the park and could pose serious harm to the giant pandas. Therefore, the Shenshuping Base of the Wolong China Giant Panda Garden has imposed a lifelong ban on their entry.
The Shenshuping Base of the Wolong China Giant Panda Garden stated that the staff promptly retrieved the giant pandas and disinfected the surrounding area.
