Please find the following information for your reference:

1. Opening and Closing Times:

  • Morning ticket entry time: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
  • Afternoon ticket entry time: 12:00 PM – 4:30 PM
  • Closing time: 5:30 PM

The Panda Base will be closed on Chinese New Year’s Eve, January 28, 2025, for one day.

2. Daily Visitor Capacity:

  • A daily limit of 70,000 visitors: 40,000 in the morning and 30,000 in the afternoon.

3. Ticket Purchase Instructions:

  • All visitors must make a real-name reservation online. Tickets can be reserved up to 7 days in advance, subject to availability. Please book early as tickets are limited.
  • Visitors aged 60 and above are exempt from making reservations and may enter by presenting their original ID card.
  • Children aged 6 years (inclusive) or under 1.3 meters in height can enter with a guardian, after showing relevant identification documents. An adult must accompany the child during the visit.
  • Tickets are subject to real-name registration (one ticket per person, one ID per ticket), and each ID card number is limited to one ticket purchase.

4. Reservation Channels:

  • Tickets can be booked through the official WeChat public account, WeChat Mini Program “Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding,” or authorized platforms such as Meituan, Ctrip, Douyin, “Chengdu Scenic Area Direct Bus” WeChat account, and “Chengdu Tourism Bus” WeChat account.
  • Please be cautious when purchasing tickets through non-official channels as you may face issues like being unable to enter the park or difficulties in ticket refunds.

5. Entry Requirements:

  • All visitors with successful reservations (including free-entry visitors) must bring their original ID card to the “ID verification ticket gate” to enter. Those with passports, Mainland China travel permits, foreigner permanent resident cards, household registration books, or a lost ID card must show related documents or photos and enter through the “non-ID verification gate.” A mismatch between the person and the ID will prevent entry.
  • Visitors must select their preferred visit date and time slot (morning or afternoon) and plan to arrive accordingly.

6. Special Reminders:

  • During the Spring Festival, road access near the Panda Base South Gate will be restricted to vehicles with a reservation. Unreserved vehicles will not be allowed in. Please make a reservation via the WeChat “Rong e Travel” account.
  • To avoid congestion at the South Gate, visitors are advised to use public transportation and enter through the West Gate to reduce waiting time. There is no self-parking at the West Gate, so please plan your trip in advance.
  • For road traffic management updates, please follow the official Chengdu Traffic Police accounts, WeChat, or call the traffic hotline at 962122.
