During an interview, documentary director Zuo Tao from Sichuan Radio and Television revealed that a sequel to The Birth Story of Fu Bao, titled Our Fu Bao, will be released later this year.

Fu Bao returned to China last year and has experienced many new stories since then. This new documentary will showcase the efforts made in China for Fu Bao, the love and care dedicated to her, and everything done to ensure her well-being. That’s how Our Fu Bao came to be,” said Zuo Tao. The documentary is still in production, and on March 25, the filming crew captured footage of Fu Bao’s first public appearance since her return. “This is another story of love across borders—first, people in South Korea cared for Fu Bao, and now people in China continue to do so.”
