On July 23, giant panda “Meng Meng (萌萌)” celebrated her seventh birthday at Shijiazhuang Zoo, marking her fifth birthday at the zoo.
Upon arriving at the birthday party, the first thing that catches the eye is the colorful balloons and a beautifully crafted bamboo house prepared by her keepers. The house’s roof features a prominent “7” to symbolize Meng Meng’s seventh birthday. To the left of the house, a fruit-flavored ice pop display fills the enrichment rack, while to the right, a large “sofa” made from a wooden bed and soft pillows creates a cozy resting spot, with pink fabric gently covering the pillows to enhance the comfort.

Meng Meng’s favorite part was the “lotus flower” themed double-layer ice cake and a large bamboo shoot feast, accompanied by a “Meng” made from bamboo leaves and a “crowned watermelon panda.” Each detail reflected the keepers’ love and best wishes for Meng Meng.
At the party, Meng Meng happily circled around the house, rolled on the wooden bed, and enjoyed the ice cake and bamboo shoots with great delight, surrounded by happiness and affection.
Let’s join in wishing Meng Meng a very happy birthday and hoping she continues to grow happily and healthily at Shijiazhuang Zoo, bringing us even more joy and delight.
