On August 18, the giant panda “Ling Yan” at Luoyang Luanxian Bamboo Sea Wildlife Park in Henan celebrated its 7th birthday with a special bamboo birthday cake.
Inside the giant panda exhibit, staff decorated the area meticulously for “Ling Yan’s” birthday celebration. As “Ling Yan” slowly emerged from its den, it approached the bamboo birthday cake specially prepared by the keepers. The bamboo cake, approximately 60 centimeters tall and consisting of three layers made from sections of bamboo, was a treat that “Ling Yan” eagerly enjoyed. Its adorable behavior attracted many visitors who stopped to watch and take photos.

“Ling Yan” was born on August 18, 2017, at the Wolong Shenshuping Panda Base of the China Giant Panda Conservation and Research Center in Sichuan. In September 2020, “Ling Yan” moved to the Luoyang Luanxian Bamboo Sea Wildlife Park. With its skills in performing tricks like pushing carts, singing while bathing, and dancing, “Ling Yan” quickly gained popularity on various social media platforms and has won the affection of many fans.
